The Overlord mode for Memoir ’44 gives Richard Borg’s renowned game a whole new dimension by recreating large-scale battles for up to 8 players, divided into two teams of four.

Each side operates with a genuine chain of command, including a commander-in-chief and several field commanders responsible for different sectors of the front. This team-based structure gives the game a broader, more immersive feel, closer to the conduct of a major military operation.

At OFJH 2026, the Memoir ’44 – Overlord tournament will give participants the chance to compete as teams across vast battlefields, combining coordination, decision-making, and the ability to adapt to the orders they receive.

The tournament will be organized with the support of the Fédération Française de Mémoire 44, which actively promotes and supports this format in France through meetups, tournaments, and dedicated events.
