Terms and Conditions of Sale
Open de France des Jeux d’Histoire

Purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern registration for and participation in the event Open de France des Jeux d’Histoire, organised by Ajax Games.

Registration

Registration for the event is made via the dedicated website. Registration becomes final only once payment has been validated.

Registration for the event implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Pricing

Registration fees are indicated on the website at the time of booking. Prices are expressed in euros and include all applicable taxes (VAT included).

Event Venue

The event takes place at a venue made available to the organiser. Participants agree to comply with the rules and internal regulations of the venue hosting the event.

Availability of Places

Registrations are accepted subject to availability. The organiser cannot guarantee the availability of places for registrations paid on site.

Participant Absence

In the event of a participant’s absence on the day of the event, the registration fee remains due and no refund will be issued.

The organiser reserves the right to allocate the place to another participant if necessary.

Transfer of Registration

In the event that a participant is unable to attend, their registration may be transferred to another person.

The original participant remains responsible for providing the replacement participant with all necessary information and, where required, informing the organiser of the transfer.

Payment

Payment for registration may be made:

  • online via a secure payment platform (including by credit card or any other payment method offered at checkout);

  • on site on the day of the event, by cheque or cash, subject to availability.

Registration is considered confirmed:

  • immediately in the case of a validated online payment;

  • upon payment made on site.

Online payments are processed by a secure payment service provider. The organiser does not store any banking information.

Invoicing

Proof of payment may be issued during the online payment process. An invoice may be provided upon request by the organiser.

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, tickets for events held on a specific date are not subject to a right of withdrawal.

Registration for the Open de France des Jeux d’Histoire is therefore firm and final, unless otherwise specified by the organiser.

Cancellation and Refunds

Unless otherwise specified at the time of registration, registrations are non-refundable.

In the event of cancellation of the event by the organiser, participants will be informed of the applicable refund or postponement arrangements.

Modification of the Event

The organiser reserves the right to modify the event programme if circumstances so require.

Such modifications shall not give rise to any refund.

Participation in Activities

Participants take part in the activities offered during the event at their own risk.

The organiser cannot be held liable for any personal injury or material damage that may occur during participation in the activities, except in the event of proven fault on the part of the organiser.

Participant Behaviour

Participants undertake to behave respectfully towards other players, organisers, exhibitors and members of the public.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to, or exclude, any person whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate or detrimental to the proper running of the event, without entitlement to a refund.

Safety

Participants undertake to comply with all safety instructions applicable at the event venue.

In particular, they must follow any instructions given by the organisers or venue staff in the event of an exceptional situation or evacuation.

Minor Participants

Minor participants remain under the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians throughout the duration of the event.

The organiser cannot provide individual supervision of minors.

Personal Belongings

Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings throughout the duration of the event.

The organiser cannot be held liable for the loss, theft or damage of personal property.

Image Rights

Photographs or video recordings may be taken during the Open de France des Jeux d’Histoire for communication or promotional purposes.

By participating in the event, participants accept that their image may be used on the organiser’s communication media (including the website, social media and promotional materials), unless they expressly object to the organiser in advance or on site.

Photographs and Game Content

Participants may take photographs or share images of games presented during the event.

Participants undertake to respect the rights of the authors, publishers and creators present, particularly with regard to prototypes or unpublished materials.

Any commercial use of images taken during the event is prohibited without prior authorisation.

Personal Data

Information collected during registration is used solely for the purpose of organising the event.

This data may also be used to communicate with participants regarding the event.

Force Majeure

The organiser cannot be held liable in the event of modification or cancellation of the event resulting from force majeure or circumstances beyond its control (including administrative decisions, public health situations or venue unavailability).

Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavour to seek an amicable resolution before initiating any legal proceedings.
